Getting your computer ready for ETS tutorials

Students are required to wear headsets in class.

Most headsets will work fine.  You can use either a USB headset or one with an audio jack.  If you do not want to use a headset please purchase a quality stand alone mic such as the Samson Go Mic.

When in class please make sure that
I can see your head and hands. You can do this by moving back from your computer or using a wide angle video camera.

Please make sure your video camera is HD.

Greek Fonts

For my classes you will need to download my greek font and also instal the Greek polytonic keyboard.   For the Greek font, right click with your mouse on these fonts and choose "save link (or target) as" in order to save them to your desktop; Greek.TTF, Font instructions . In windows, Go to Start|Settings|control Panel|Fonts| and drag the file from your desktop into that window. In Mac, just saved the font to your desktop and double click on it to install it.   If you have the Greek.TTF font installed correctly the following word will appear in Greek; }Acilh~oj .   You might need to do a search on "how to install of font".

You also need to the have the greek polytonic keyboard installed on your computer.  You can do a search on "how to install a greek polytonic keyboard" on youtube, but make sure to specific if you are using mac, PC or chromebook.

Here are some videos I can recommend on polytonic keyboards.-
